Infuse is a free-to-use that brings Apple Intelligence’s Writing Tools features like expand, rewrite, generate and check text for grammar to all Android devices.
Apple recently started rolling out the much anticipated iOS 18.1 update, which brings the first wave of Apple Intelligence features to select iPhones. While there are plenty of AI-powered features, one of the most useful ones is Writing Tools, which allows users to rewrite, summarise and refine text.
Android, which is often touted as one of the most customisable platforms is yet to get such features. However, we recently came across Infuse by Sapiens Labs, a third-party app available on the Google Play Store that brings similar capabilities to all Android devices.

Like Apple Intelligence, Infuse works across all apps and allows users to perform a wide range of tasks like translating, expanding, rewriting, summarising, and checking text for grammatical mistakes. It can even help draft emails and generate social media-optimised posts. Users also have the option to set the tone of the conversation. The developer says Infuse uses ChatGPT or Claude to perform all associated tasks, so your queries may be sent to OpenAI or Claude services for processing.
The app works by using the Accessibility Service permission, which allows it to read the text on the screen and understand the context of your conversation. To use a bot, tap on the name and you will be asked to type a key phrase in the ‘Trigger method’ section, which allows users to summon the AI bot on any screen. You can also enable the ‘Use context’ toggle, which allows it to read previous conversation records and answer questions based on the context of the text.

Infuse calls its features ‘Bots’ and the app also has a built-in ‘Bot store’ that lets you add some useful bots you can use anywhere. If you don’t like the bots available in the store, the app also lets you create one. To do so, all you need to do is press the ‘Add bot’ button on the app’s main screen, give it a name and under the ‘Prompt’ section, tell the bot how you want it to respond. The app is free to use, but you can upgrade to the premium version which offers access to more advanced AI models, unlimited chats, long and precise replies and removes all ads in the app.
Unlike Apple Intelligence’s Writing Tools, which are currently limited to select iPhones and require users to join the Apple Intelligence waitlist, Infuse works across all Android devices. However, a major difference between the two is that Apple’s Writing Tools are protected by the company’s Private Cloud Compute and are end-to-end encrypted, but there is no way to know if Infuse will share your data with advertisers. Also, Writing Tools are integrated on a system level, but Infuse uses Android’s accessibility service to read and analyse the content on the screen.
